Reassurance to all members

beigevenus
I would like to reassure any new member (and old ones as well) that the concept of this site is amazing. I believe that I've met the love of my life here and I am certain that others will be able to do the same. Don't give up!

Yep, site is really cool. I don't believe in the dating aspect of this site but I've made here some great friends.
beigevenus
@diplomatista67 I didn't either, until I met my girlfriend XD

Oh, I still do believe in the dating aspect of this site. The problem is there aren't enough people who live nearby.

Eh, still don't have faith. At least in myself. But good on you for finding someone. Hope it lasts long.

This site is great! its like others have said. the population is low. but its great to have a place were you can make otaku friends, & relationships. the difference being everyone is amognst the same interests here, soo no one has to be too afraid of being themselves. Vs. facebook were sometimes you have to keep from saying certain things and cant fully be yourself amongst the normies <______>. This site is Animazing place c: glad i found it some years ago.

Lol, I think its silly for people to censor their nerdom on facebook. Downplay it, sure. If you weeb out on the uninitiated, it conveys poor social adaptation skills. But even then, there's way to express those parts of yourself without hiding them. You should always feel comfortable in your own skin, no matter what the setting. That said, I know what you mean. I've seen anime fans on other dating sites, and then I look at the ones here, and they are way less conservative in their presentation of themselves and their hobbies. Its like how people are (Used to be, rather) at anime cons, where most strangers you talk to are instantly your best friend. Like you've known them for years. Now granted, creepers are a thing both here and at anime cons, so its all within reason. But its nice to see places where people remove the layers so to speak. (That or they amplify a small part of themselves that they aren't normally comfortable with.)
