Scariest Part of a Relationship?

What do you think is the scariest part of relationships? 1) Trying to start one 2) Being in the Relationship 3) A relationship ending

Trying to start one. You kind of learn what to do while you're in a relationship and if it's ending then you kind of already know it's coming. The uncertainty of whether it develops into one or initiating to find out is probably the most scariest haha.

I think the scariest part of a relationship is realizing you don't love someone the way you originally thought you did, and also realizing that you're going to break their heart. Feelings evolve after all, which in and of itself isn't a bad thing, since the longest lasting relationships happen because couples keep falling in love with each other over again. But sadly the sword cuts both ways, and in many ways, a relationship is as much an exploration of the self as it is the exploration of another bond. I just hate hurting people I care about, yet refuse to be in a relationship that isn't two sided.

My biggest hurdle, at least in recent years hasn't been to meet new women, but its been getting out of the dating phase and into a full fledged relationship. Be it my personality or my interests there's always a point, usually after a few weeks of dating where they get turned off, lose interest, and sometimes outright stop contacting me. It's almost like clockwork sometimes and probably the most frustrating part of dating in my adult years.
