Its worth taking the risk to see I think as long as you don't go opening night and get disappointed. Its probably better to wait a day after its out and get feedback from fans who risk pulling their hair out at a terrible movie. If you really want to be conservative you could just wait for it to come out on video. I think the most detrimental effect that putting out a bad representation of the show out is that people who have not seen the series will end up with a false image of what the show is all about.

Well, looking at the movies based off games and comics. There is a small chance of it being good. I have hope though, cause James Cameron got the rights to Battle Angel Alita, he's a big fan. From what I read, there are some good actors and directors who love anime and trying to get rights to anime. Let's just hope that people like Uwe Bolle or whatever gets those rights.

Forgot to add the word "don't" after Uwe bolle

one thing ive learned is that you can rarely, if at all, trust hollywood to make a good anime or book or game to movie translation. thats why if they were going to make a live action cowboy bebop or anything they might be safer with indie developers. there was a swedish(?) indie film company that did a great metal gear solid one. i forgot what the subtitle for it was but it came out a lot better than i thought it would. so i guess all im saying is when it comes to anime live action, go indie more than hollywood. then again you would need big budget to do a Bebop movie, but idk if Peter Jackson's directing style would fit this. a closer one would be the guy that did Firefly i think, but thats just me thinking out loud

Ya know... i honestly... I can't think of anyone I would be comfortable seeing play the role of Spike... I just don't know if anyone could do it justice...
Hmmm, wait!! Maybe Rain he did a bad ass job in ninja assassin.
Yes!! That is my answer =bows=

well you guys have to think about this as well. when they make these movies they kinda give the hardcore fans the middle finger and try to appeal to a new crowd. nowadays movies arent so original anymore. remember that movie quarentine? it was a remake of a spanish film REC. and how they are remaking all these old movies and making movies out of games and books.

yeah good point that seems to b the common theme with movies and remakes but I think it'll be one of those films i'll c on video ie torrent :-p
