Ghost in the shell Live action movie

Saw it a couple days ago. Could have been worse I guess. My main issue with it was some really poor acting at times, Excessive over use of cgi for the environment, dumbed down plot verses the original, and a very cliche and hard to take serious main villain.

I think if they stayed with the original plot it might have been worst imo but yea I think the script could have been better

I enjoyed it. Would have been betters as a series of movies like the matrix, rather than having such a condensed plot. They did shorten it a little too much. It could have definitely used another 30 minutes of detective work and actually fighting cyber terrorist. And I definitely agree with the over use of CGI for the environment. It was a little obnoxious looking. But think about it... As far as making a real life movie out of anime, they didn't do half bad. Holly Wood has a tendency to butcher things they get a hold of. It could have been way worse. I think they did a decent job.

Even the Ghost in the Shell animated movie managed to explore some highly complex issues in a well done manner despite limited time. They dumbed down the plot too much for my tastes. I think the live action was overall meh: some nice visuals although sometimes too much CGI like others have said, some good action scenes, Scarlet did a good job, but ultimately I wouldn't watch it again.

I enjoyed I thought pretty well myself. The atmosphere and effects looked great. Cool soundtrack too. However, still had a few issues such as some cliches and the fact the Major's team didn't do much of anything.

I liked it, I was surprised at all the scenes that were ripped right out of the anime but in live action. It was awesome.

I thought the CGI was good, and the atmosphere was amazing. But, it really kinda annoyed me with how they did the story, but I did enjoy the action scenes.

I really enjoyed it. I remember bits and pieces of Ghost in the Shell and some iconic moments for me I saw on the big screen.
