Where do you go?

dartinin
Where do you go for your anime, manga or Japanese related news? I mean outside of these forums of course. I know they are most likely not the best source but I get a lot of my news from my subscription to Otaku USA or just by word of mouth. I would like to know where other fans of these particular topics go for their up to date information. (I apologize if this is not the right place for such a topic Wasn't 100% sure if I should put this in news or serious talk) I would like to thank anyone who takes the time to answer my question. Thank you very much.

I don't check anime/manga news as often, but I used to frequent Anime News Network and Crunchyroll's news site. Those two should fulfill your needs, though I am curious what more hardcore anime fans use. Other than that it's all word-of-mouth from underground ani-twitter folk.

I also check Crunchyroll's front page every few days though I go there more for news about the site then any industry wide news. I'm very curious how many replies use crunchyroll for their news.

I stick with TT. I wouldn't touch Crunchyroll if you paid me to.

@neet-one I admit I'm not up-to-date with anime news standards, but what exactly is TT? I keep thinking "Tokyo Tosho" but then thought "Wait... Tokyo Tosho had a news site?! "I can't even access Tokyo Tosho for whatever reason (I use Nyaa) so forgive me for my noobness!

I would like to know what TT is also.

If I see something I like I usually just use google or Amazon. That's where I have bought most of my anime things. Some are rip offs for sure, but I've found actual real sellers and real products. Like this new Katsuragi figure I really want it costs $350 when it was originally $100. But no one else is selling it so I still buy it. A lot of people are greedy but nothing I can do about it. Also the rest of the pin up cards I want cost $60 on eBay when they were only supposed to be $5. A lot of ass holes to the actual fans of the series.

I'm in an anime club locally so those guys keep me in the loop. I found them on Facebook of all things, but there might be a group near you too.

I usually stay in the loop by the local store in which I play Magic sometimes. Plus students are a good way to keep in the anime news.
