Okay to take a break on a RPG?

jeffotaku12
I know some RPGs can be really irritating at times but is it okay to take a break from them to play another to whined down from them so that way we can come back to them? Right now i'm playing FF8 and it's really bugging me especially with the battle against Edea and though how the controls work and all that I was only manage to beat Seifier but this game is driving me up a wall and I am thinking to take a break from it and play 9 Is that a okay thing?

Honestly I get annoyed, if I get stuck on a certain part. I normally will sit there all day untill I beat it. But I have taken a break on one game though. I never finished Tales of Zesteria I plan on going back just no time soon though. Im not tooo fimilar with the current final fantasys but if its a continuation of 8 then probably a bad idea. If its a whole different story then I dont see the harm.

Oh, I'm constantly juggling about four or five RPGs at a time. There aren't enough hours in the day and I get distracted easily. ^^;

I find if i play an RPG too much I burn out on it so i constantly have to take little breaks to stop this.

As long as its not Dungeons and Dragons. You kinda have an obligation to show if you're playing that. lol

I took a year off one of the dot hacks games. Mind you after dying x amount of times I stopped.

Well it all depends, I couldnt really take a break from FFX as it was borrowed from a friend so I didnt had the chance to have a break, but if the game is yours, then yeah you can take a break and come back later.

Why wouldn't it be ok? Game police gonna take your console if you stop?

Game Police! Stop right there son, ah I see, taking a break from an RPG? Im going to put you a fine for this.

Its usually terrible for me. Sometimes you forget the story and world and immersion and you have to start over when you pick it up again.
