Super Smash Bros. Experience

lastmanonmars
At the age of 7-8 I was a lucky young buck who had some money to spend to buy one video game. My brother, cousin and I went to the store browsing up and down until my cousin came across something peculiar. I saw a game cartridge with Mario on the front. I am admittedly not a Mario fan, never have been, but then I noticed Pikachu was there, and Zelda (actually Link but I thought his name was Zelda), a guy in a space suit (actually a woman), and Fox. I was stoked and so were my siblings that Nintendo would do a crossover game with other characters from another franchise. We picked it up without hesitation and rushed home to my bros. N64 and jammed it in. The next few years were the greatest years of my life. Super Smash bros. was a life changer I have fond memories of the original to Brawl. I would like to know some of your experiences with Super Smash Bros. and or your first time picking up the game and playing it.

First time I was at a friends house. Didn't much like the fork controllers with millions of buttons and 3 diff places to hold them. But I was intrigued about the actual game Super Smash Bros and once I started getting the hang of it lol I didn't want to leave. His dad had to kick me out hahaha to this day I want to buy a N64 to just play that game. 2 Fav characters I play with is Fox, when I'm serious and Kirby to piss people off lmao. I eat them then walk around while there telling me off. Then take there powers and shoot them with it as I float around in the air hahaha

I really liked Yoshi so I wanted anything Yoshi even calling Super Smash Brothers "Yoshi" as a kid. I first played the game at some kid's house in my old neighborhood. I only used Yoshi and spammed the ground pound move and won with that method somehow. One of the kids actually got mad and pushed me and we had a little tussle. I never went over to play smash again after that. I didn't really care that those kids weren't really my friends I only missed playing that game. Simple times. Ah~ But now Super Smash Brothers is probably the only game I'm good at and I attend a few tournaments here and there. Can't wait for the next installment! I hope the online connectivity is better so I can play with more people including people here! ༼;´༎ຶ ۝ ༎ຶ༽

I actually play the game competitively. Well melee not brawl or 64. I played the 64 version with my cousin and brother. I have so many fond memories with that game and decided to take it competitively. I'm currently rank #1 in Georgia and am well known amongst the pros. I recently found out i have some fans too @__@

Would love to play against you sometime sionxtc. Everyone that has play this game says they are the best but I would love to go against someone whose actually done it competitively. Also, I live in Georgia so it may happen someday. xingthecrow, yeah those weren't friends of yours. I hate children, even myself when I was a child, they are so petty. Kirokun, I know the feels of getting used to the Trident. I had to play Golden Eye on it so I was used to it by then. In fact it was easier to play Smash than Golden Eye, for me. I didn't have a favorite character because we'd change characters so often and we all hated using the same character in a match. I guess the closest to fav was Kirby because I was good at playing with him, until Melee.
