I say that because Tenchi universe and Tenchi in Tokyo are spin-off series and just like the movies they don't really connect with each other. If it were me personally I would suggest that you watch the movies after you finish watching at least one of the series and I would start off with watching Tenchi Muyo and then if you want you could knock out the other two spin-off series and then technically Tenchi Muyo ryo-ohki connect to Tenchi Muyo directory but I would leave very series until the very last. So tenchi muyo first then the spin offs and movies, then gxp then war on geminar and finally ryo oh oki which i don't care for lol.
