Well being some one that has experienced both they both have there pros and cons Lets take the con seen Evening entertainment more variations on the Music and party's in the evening here in the UK us was rave music every night which would just not fly here Drinking is allowed in UK cons no problems or fights ever break out between con goers here unlike in the US Though US panels are far more fun and interesting you get the crowed in wile your setting up and entertain them with videos and games while they are weighting for the start unlike UK ones where they make you weight outside till its all ready US has much more things to do at a con and much more verity of stuff on sale not to mention they fund there volunteers with free rooms, food and entries to the event were in the UK you be lucky to get free entry UK cons are much better for mingling and getting to know people as they tend to max out at 1200 people for the big ones where a lot of the US ones take anime Boston as a large on is 50,000 ish people over the weekend. so they both have there pros and cons but I think the uk as the edge on the evening entertainment but the us wins on the day entertainment

I'm a true southern American. Ask for my opinion.

Not that kinda south. I'm from New Mexico. My background is mostly military so my veiws may be bias. Which part of the culture would you like my opinion on because I don't want to type a huge rant

I prefer British culture because it's civilized and efficient. I met a few SAS members on base once. ...the were scary as hell armed with modern weapons and seemingly impossible discipline. But Britain has a simple problem it's size Its a small country that means they have to be efficient just maximize room. America is kinda uncivil we build big because we don't worry about Space. Our military is huge but mostly poorly trained poorly equipped and our most advanced equipment keeps breaking. So we only show it when it works. And of course guns. We love guns.

Ughhh I'm really not sure. While I appreciate good manners, and welcoming home-like atmosphere of the British countries. It's still fun to have a blast, with a group of fiery Americans and their cheerful, laid back, and easy-going attitude. I like both of the countries, their culture, and the people. Which one I prefer though, is entirely up to my current mood I guess. Sometimes you just feel like talking for hours to a Welsh gentleman (or a lady :3). And sometimes you want to get rid of depression, forget about your shitty life for a little while, and just let it rip with the crowd from California.

I'm from Venezuela, a true South American here, and I can say that if I really had to choose I'd choose British culture. I don't want to elaborate on this because I couldn't care less about their culture in general, but just the fact that the US gets to be wrongly called "America" pisses me off. Though, I would 100 times get out of here into the US if I could. Is just a different subject I'm rejecting here.

Well I guess it's because US is usually the first thing, that pops out in people's minds when talking about that part of the world. Plus who the heck calls them US-ians? xD But yeah, you've got a point there.
