Have you considered...?

Ever leaving this site? I just want some perspective from those who use this site frequently, since I'm deciding whether to delete my account or not. After searching tirelessly on the interwebs, I've decided to give up on meeting or talking with anyone on this site or others. Truthfully, this is only a popular site if your a frequent user and although while for some, they've met someone on here, the rest of us are limited to options since there are only a few users that are on regularly and that just makes it boring. I only ever see the same people commenting on the forums. What is so appealing about keeping an account if you don't use it for its purpose? And if they handful of people that talk to each other on here are so picky, then it really doesn't give you many choices to find someone worth having a decent conversation with. I don't mean to be rude or offensive and I apolgize if anyone feels differently. I know some have had luck finding a signifigant other, but for the rest of us, well...thats a different story. Half the time, when you post something on the forums, only a select people reply before it gets shoved aside for another topic. I just feel invisible on here I guess and it kind of defeats the purpose of my joining.

I honestly haven't seen you post. It looks like you have drawing talent. You're certainty cute enough to have no problems with the boys. I guess the thing is: do you want friendship and conversation or physical contact? If it's friendship and mutual interests then join in more. If you need human contact then find an anime club in your area. I think all of us would understand.

Hmm.... A few times. But just in passing. Not seriously, though. I guess... Whatever you think is best. Go with your intuition.

I mean, we seem to be getting fresh blood in here. ..and not all of them are thirsty.

I've been around for a bit, I would even say maybe close to a year and there are a few topics I've posted on, but of course, they get lost among the other comments. As I said though, I just can't make my presence here known that well. I mean you were even aware of my profile..And either one is fine, I mean everyone starts out as friends but I mean it would be great to develop it further if I met someone who is awesome. I just don't know if looking on Maiotaku is in vain or not.

Well, finding someone in your own state is challenging everywhere. If you go to a normal dating site everyone is into everything else BUT technology and anime. Basically, everyplace sucks. The closest person I've seen is 2 hours away and she's an awesome friend. So, I guess it's a matter of if you actually enjoy the personalities here. I'd certainly like to be friends. people who draw usually are pretty creative and interesting. Maybe someone from PA will show up eventually. I think we should hollar at our Facebook and other places to get more people in.

I dunno, still not a good enough reason to stay. I mean yeah, friends are great and all, but I've got plenty. Not saying I don't wanna make more, but if that is all I can find on here, I might as well delete my profile now.

I'd say just don't post. Check the search for new PA anime enthusiasts and check out. You don't want to cut off a resource when finding anime enthusiasts is already so hard.

This also may sound contradicting, but you know, I'm not gonna like everyone I meet automatically and some people I started a conversation with either just stops or it becomes to dull that its hard to think of something to talk about. I just don't like the backlash of someone getting all bent out of shape because I don't show interest right away or eventually lose all interest. And many people do get butthurt on this site. I know that is harsh, but it's not a unreasonable thing to say since it happens.

I see where you're coming from. But, getting a decent conversation going is a two way street. I'm not here to entertain you. If someone gets bent out of shape then apologize and figure out where the conversation went wrong and fix it. Me and Panda Dog did that recently. If the conversation is boring then change it. Have an interest in the people you're talking to and get them to divulge stuff about themselves that you might enjoy. If you don't actively have an interest and care in people then conversation is always going to be hard. UPDATE: Not on this forum. But I have had people message me to start a conversation and then a couple minutes later all they can say is OK. OK.. OK. That shiz is DUMBBBBB. If that's what's happening to you then I am sorry. I, for one, promise to NEVER do that to you.
