the future of swords?

rangerchives
So I've been watching the news recently and a kid god shot by the police for carrying around a katana. The attorney who supposed to be neutral on the subject is favoring the police in this matter. I'm worried that after this is said and done the goverment will attempt to take away our swords.

Well, the dude with the katanas did swing at the fucking police. I mean if you're gonna talk about a story at least talk about the entire story. I don't think police would care if you didn't swing at them. Then it becomes their life or yours. And yes their was a video of him swinging the swords at the police.

I'm well aware about that but, I'm not really too concerned about how it happened. My point is that thanks to this incident the government now has an excuse to ban swords, and i'm pretty sure that the people at capitol hill will be debating this issue.

There will be hell to pay if they take my katanna and greatsword..... swords and blades are my favorite thing behind pizza

No, it's not going to happen at least not because of that accident, a lot of martial arts use swords and a lot of sports too without talking that a lot of people have their own sword collections, if they ban swords they are touching the freedom of the people.

They can't ban swords legally, at most they can force background checks on them like guns but they cannot legally take away our right to bear arms whether that be in the form of swords or guns.

Carlos if you hadn't been noticing they've been getting rid our freedoms slowly. It's the same with them trying banning guns. The only people who lose the guns are the people who defend themselves while criminals still get them from black markets. Though I agree I doubt they'll be able to ban swords because of this one thing.

Leo they didn't try to ban guns, they tried to ban a specific type of gun meant for warfare, which kind of makes sense but I still don't support it and neither did the majority of the country, or the constitution which is why at most they could only do a temporary ban (which actually happened back 1994 but expired) Still, the notion of banning a specific weapon is relatively useless...if someone wants to kill someone it doesn't matter what we ban, that person isn't going to be following those rules and thus will be able to obtain nearly anything he wants.

That is true.
