vampire_neko
Just wondering if there is an effective way to make enough money online to cover basic living expenses. I always wondered how NEETs do it unless the get ssi income or relatives pay.

I made a miniscule amount from redbubble but i'm sure if you're good at art or make good designs there's cash to be made. I'm sure there's other ways like freelance jobs for designers or coders etc. things you can do online.

Coding is definitely an option. In fact there's a site called Guru where organizations post code requests and the first one to finish it right gets paid for it. If you know code or can learn it's one way to go about it. Or you could just code a bunch of cookie cutter porn sites and fill them all with the same stuff ripped off from elsewhere and incorporate lots of ads and malware, but that wouldn't be very nice. But seriously, there's also companies that hire coders as full time remote employees. I've had many opportunities to work from home on a regular basis that way.

Also if you're very good or entertaining there is lots of money to be made on twitch/youtube. The chances of someone getting to that level are slim to none though.

That is true. There's a handful of people that have made quite a bit of money on YouTube and the like. It would probably be easier to find the next up and coming thing though and jump on the bandwagon early. If you can be an entertainer on the latest and greatest thing before everyone else, it would be much easier to get your slice of the pie. You can still makes a few bucks off of YouTube though with a decent fanbase. Maybe not 40k a year but more than nothing. Or, flipping items on eBay. I've almost considered that one. With enough money, you could even flip cars actually if you know what you're doing. Even cheap ones. Like buy a POS off Cragslist and do some cheap and dirty maintenance and put it back on Craigslist for a higher price. It would take some work though.

I suppose it all depends on if you have a skill that's marketable through the internet. If you're crafty/artistic, you can sell items off etsy, or if you just put out media content on youtube like some people have said. Of even if you see a need on the internet that you could fulfill, like some people hire others to do their linkedin profiles and whatnot.

Flipping video games has made me a decent profit for quite a while now. My goodwills around town usually stocks up on old video games that goes for a good amount on eBay or amazon. Probably wouldn't hurt to check at your local goodwills/pawn shops/flea markets etc.

I have no skills in this department. I'm more of a PR person personally.

I sell used Japanese music, magazines, and merch. It makes decent money when people are interested.
