The break up

Breaking up is never easy. At least if you genuinely cared about the person at some point. If you don't give a crap about them, then it might be easy. But then I question the motives as to why they entered the relationship at all.

yeah it doesnt matter if it was long distance or not it was still a relationship if thats what you considered it. like xynox said breaking up is never easy not unless one of doesnt like the other. just give it some time and maybe the feelings might go away

I can't find a way to rationalize your last sentence. I agree with everything else but relationships are a learning process. The truth is, you'll never be entirely sure whether it's gonna work or not before you initiate it. That kind of perfection just doesn't exist. If one is not committed to give it their best then yeah, I agree, don't bother trying. But outside that it's ok to try and fail. The most important thing is to learn something from it. At least, that's how I look at failed relationships.

If people get into a relationship without the intention of making a serious go of it, it's more out of convenience for them than anything, they don't realize what the commitment really entails, or they didn't really get to know someone well enough and something may turn them off to that person after they started dating and then will make more of an effort to be reclusive or just end it out right. Any way you slice it though, it comes down to maturity. If you don't have the capacity to properly support a relationship be it for social or emotional reasons, you really shouldn't be jumping into any sort of relationship to begin with.

Lol whenever I have break ups I always watch a good anime to help me cope or play games or chill with friends. Doing something positive in your life to push back the nagitive is always a good thing. ^^

I guess it depends on the breakup, how it occured (one sided, both in agreement, found the other cheating or being unfaithful) These factors have a big effect on how you will perceive any future relationship. Trust issues may occur, depression or in the event that both agreed that the relationship didnt work.. just move on with your life and work on the mistakes you mightve made. Sometimes though, a good anime, countless hours of gaming and friends are the only remedy in helping to overcome what has happened. But as always.. when knocked down, pick yourself up and carry on. Sometimes life just likes tossing you curveballs.. not to trick or make you lose, but to challenge you to hit them for a home run!

Nice metaphor, XCalibur. I think that, in break-ups, there is always an initial shock. I remember when my gf broke up with me, I was physically shaking from the shock. I thought about it for the next week or so, then I realized we weren't exactly right for each other. Like most break ups, it takes time to recover from. I don't think trying to drown yourself in anime and such helps much. It just slightly distracts you from the pain you still feel. I would, however, say to people breaking up to listen to mood music; music with lyrics similar to your situation. I've found that there are lots of Nightcore songs with that subject. To all those in the midst of this emotion filled time, hang in there. I'm sure all your good friends will stay right by your side.

If it was a really nice and genuine relationship it will surely be hard to move on. If there was something wrong or something bad happened it's easier for me. ^^ Unless too much things have happened, that will leave me scarred for a while, out of my current break up I only realized I was kinda stupid for ever starting it, that's all.
