Life changing events

holyfok
Happened to everybody a situation that changed your life, what was it, and if you had the power to change that event or decision would you do it? Why? Has for me I have to go way back to kinder garden I was qualified to skip two years and go directly to the first year of elementary school, it was between me and a girl, day came and has you can guessed I havent been selected I had no hard feeling until my teacher told me it was because I was too anti-social I would change more out of curiousity and I always wondered what I could've become if I had skipped those two years and keep on with the hard work, 100% sure I would be another person

I have had many negative experiences act as catalysts for various types of change. I wouldn't get rid of them just because it wasn't all good though. I care more to do what I can from that moment forward to reduce suffering, learn, and grow. I don't care to challenge the infinite number of "what if's" because many scenarios could be even worse in a different way or lacking something I currently find fundamental. I suppose the way I think is "If I have time to think about changing the past, I should use that to form the future."

Plenty. And yeah I'd change them.

Hmm... Even though I have some hurtful memories, I still wouldn't change them. The reason why is because I've learned from them which have made me to become "strong". Even though there's times where I wish it never happened, I could help out another if they have gone through the similar experience like me. It has made me depressed with some suicidal tendencies but I have given myself a chance to push forward and I'm doing quite well now. I'm not as depressed I used to be and there's times where those memories do haunt me; but I just keep trying and give myself a chance to become better.

My rich asshole of a dad left me for dead in a third world country when I was six years old. I'd consider that and the year I spent there a pretty big life changing event. and no, even if I went back I doubt I could have done anything about it.

comming with my age, of course I made plenty of those, and honestly, there is a bunch of them I wished I would have never experienced. Even though someone might say "but they made you the way you are". True, but there is an entirely different level. Some experience are beyond your own control and you dont gain anything from them, apart from a lot of pain. Or happyness. however, as humans are, we tend be more influenced by the negative ones(which is only natural, because those harm us) Only thing I really learned from many bad experiences: humans dont break so easily. I always thought "if I'd ever be in a situation like that, i couldnt live with it", but once i was at that point, I made it. Which is a really great thought, and the point i realised that, was one of my best experiences so far. It took a lot of fear from me.
