"The terrorists want to scare us and instill fear," So what was the real reason for the attack? Sorry I just don't really buy this stuff about boogie men. Didn't see anything in the article about retaliation for the death of an isis member, but that'd make a lot more sense than them trying to scare people.

^ Yeah, I agree. And, no, Americans should not be scared because our military is powerful. That's about as much as I know and would like to know for the moment.

Militaries are useless against terrorism. They're playing games of whack-a-mole. The only thing I can suggest other than conflict is for the US to focus on its domestic issues instead and put to work the military at home on securing the borders and working to stop domestic terrorism. ISIS seems to be starting these attacks primarily against countries interfering with its affairs. I say, leave them alone and they'll die out on their own, or let Russia do the work for the US as Russia is already intervening. Don't allow reporters to go there, don't supply the rebels weapons, don't interfere at all, and maybe they'll lose interest, since the pattern of their attacks is clear. Cut off contact with the nations in the immediate area, reroute flights so they avoid the Middle East, and prevent flights into the countries from US based airlines, and recall citizens and embassies. Don't touch them, and they'll die out on their own. Civil war is civil war.

My heart goes out to the victims in Paris innocent people trying to go about their lives. As for IS all this killing is so pointless. What do they hope to achieve? They will never have their own country as the have committed so many atrocities that no other country will allow it nor should they. I do feel that the Western Nations are one of the causes of the rise of IS through their foreign policy in the region, along with the invasion of Iraq, interference in Libya and the Arab Spring.

IS just had its leader killed in Libya.

ISIS and the terrorists affiliated with them are like cockroaches. You can't kill them all. You have to live with them. Anything short of firebombing the entire middle east will not make them go away. I suppose one way without killing everyone in the middle east would be to close all flights into and out of the middle east and consider it a quarantine zone. Neither of these options are feasible both morally and realistically, so terrorism will never die. Should we be scared? No. You should be a lot more scared about getting into a car every day.

If they spill the blood of the innocent, their entire organisation should pay with their blood.

Yeah well, my opinion about this is that they had a reason, not a good one either way. Also I don't feel any sympathy for Paris, it is true it's bad but let thousands of people die elsewhere and nobody will care, kill just ten people in the city of light and everyone panics about it. Is not like I'm all that good about this stuff but I'll say if you are playing the game in the side of the "winner", everything is going to be fine even if you lose. Do it in the side of the "loser" and if you lose is your fault. Unfair, because both of them are just as despicable as the other is.

You don't feel any sympathy, what the hell is wrong with you?
