Shadetree Mechanics?

elder_reaper
I've been getting back into auto repair after a long hiatus. I own two cars, a Honda Prelude SI and a Mazda 3 and I do a lot of my own repairs. I know a lot of tricks to make it easy and I happen to be good at making use of leverage since I'm not super strong.

Yo, glad to see Anime junkies into cars. Not much around where I'm at. I got 93 Del sol and 90 civic wagon. ^^ Do any mods to them yet?
elder_reaper
I will not be heavily modding my 3 as its my daily driver. I plan to install poly bushings, upgrade to RX-8 wheels, steel brake lines, and possibly a MazdaSpeed3 exhaust. My Prelude already has some mods, aftermarket aluminium radiator, AC delete, short ram intake ( may return it to stock there ) battery trunk relocation, coilovers. I may be selling the Prelude due to financial stuff though. I gotta fix some electrical bugs with it first.

Used to race my MkII Supra but it got too hard to get parts. Still miss that car...would hit 75 in 3rd at 3k RPM and just beg for more throttle. They had transmissions out of Tacoma pickups so they launched hard but 1st wound out too fast.

Ooh RX7s are nice.

It was fun...only a 2nd gen though, 1988. I always wanted a 3rd gen, twin sequential turbos...

The FC RX7 is a fun car nonetheless.

@DarkuSchneider Man my dream build is to have a 91' toyota cressida and swap it with a 2jz twin turbo. I find targa tops, t-top cars very unique. Also into sleepers lol

Niiice. Here in PDX there were a couple guys that drifted Cressida's. When I blew the first 5M I got a replacement from a wrecked Cressida. I was a broke college student at the time so I could not afford a 2jZ conversion. The Supra's engine compartment was so huge to hold a straight 6cyl for RWD we toyed with putting a supercharged Chevy 350 in it before I ended up selling it after blowing a head gasket again on it. I loved that car. I have flirted with trying to find another one but the parts are impossible to get as it's not a popular year. I just loved the look of the old MkIIs, like an AE86's big brother. http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Boyd-Coddington-Custom-Toyota-Celica-Supra-P-Type-17-Wheels.gif
