do people lie still lie on the internet now or back then?

Personally I try to be as honest as I can, with maybe a tiiiiny sprinkle of embellishment (usually for the sake of humor). :P That said, there's quite a bunch of fakers online, and sadly I've run into a bunch as well on the various sites I've frequented throughout the years. Usually they got called out pretty quickly, but a couple of them managed to fool people for YEARS... So you can imagine the outrage when they finally got caught. :/ Hell, a girl I had a rather huge crush on turned out to be a faker... Sad times. :( Damn you, Michele... ;_;

But, is it the cat fishes fault if someone plays along? Never trust unless you can meet in person and sooner rather than later. That's why I couldn't do long distance. I'm sure most aren't out to ruin the experience, but all it takes is one bad apple to ruin the bunch.
