A buddy of mine is going through this exact same problem, however his parents are very much so against the idea of him wanting to become a girl. This world is filled with close-minded individuals and I wish that wasn't the case.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. People need to understand and accept transgender people. Jazz seems familiar to me. I think I've seen her in a 20/20 special when she was really young; well good for her. Now, this is just my opinion but, oh course people will fear what they don't understand. I think a lot of the resistance comes from people who use religious teachings and/or conservative views for morality and to me that's simply wrong. Again, it's just my opinion so I really don't mean to rub people the wrong way nor do I expect them to change their views. (Unless they are open to change.) I recently had the pleasure of meeting a new M.O. member who's a transqueer (their word not mine) / transgender person. She's pretty cool and very talented. If I ever had a biological boy as a son and they wanted to be a girl, phuck that'll give me an excuse to dress them up in kimonos. Oh, if anyone wants to say I will be a "bad parent" just save your breath. I'll just say this now, it wouldn't be your kid but mine; so there.
